*Data and Investment Consult Lebanon* *Signs Memorandum of Understanding with CIBAFI*
The General Council for Islamic Banks And Financial Institution (CIBAFI) and Data and Investment Consult Lebanon announced the signature of an exclusive representation and memorandum of understanding to promote Islamic Banking services, training and coaching from Lebanon. Under the MOU Data and Investment Consult Lebanon will represent Data and Investment Consult Lebanon in providing specialized training for Islamic finance industry. President and CEO of Data and Investment Consult Ma’an Barazy said this Move will help faster our activities on Islamic finance namely: 1. Promoting the Islamic financial institutions, dissemination of concepts, rules and relevant provisions, development and promotion of Islamic financial industry, and enhancing its existence regionally and globally. 2. Consolidation of co-operation among members of the Council and similar institutions in areas which serve the common objectives by using available means. 3. Providing information related to Islamic banks and financial institutions and other relevant Islamic organizations. 4. Promoting the interests of members, protecting the industry and its course, confronting the common difficulties and challenges, promoting co-operation among members on the other hand, and between members and other parties, particularly regulatory authorities. 5. Participating in the development of the Islamic financial services by encouraging research and development, product registration, and tracking the development of laws and procedures of product registration. 6. Participating in the development of human resources to tackle international challenges and development opportunities to cooperate in the fields of research and academic institutions. Unless the agreement and as a first Data and Investment Consult Lebanon will present the following CIBAFI Professional Certificates in Beirut: · The Certified Islamic Banker · The Certified Islamic Specialist in Capital markets · The Certified Islamic Specialist in Trade Finance · The Certified Islamic Specialist in Takaful · The Certified Islamic Specialist in Accounting · The Certified Islamic Specialist in Governance and Compliance · The Certified Islamic Specialist in Risk Management And the following Professional Diplomas: · Professional Advanced Diploma in Shari'a Auditing · Professional Diploma in Accounting in IFIs · Professional Diploma in Risk Management in IFIs · Professional Advanced Diploma in Islamic Finance The memorandum confirmed the readiness of Data Investment Consult to advice the public institution and private sector companies wishing to revise work in Shariah compliance. The memorandum also aspires cooperation to conduct scientific seminars and studies on business transactions compliant with Islamic law. *About CIBAFI* The General Council for Islamic Banks And Financial Institution (CIBAFI) is one of the 4 "I's" International Islamic Infrastructure Institutions.
