Yes there is no equivalent MX Services to SPC3 at this time, but this is being worked on. This is supposed to be coming in 19.3, via software only; new SW architecture.
Many [large] customers are running large scale IPSEC termination, but 5G max, from what [little] I know. If someone needs more throughput, they will bond multiple IPSEC tunnels together. As for failover, any failure should cause a switch to redundant module, assuming one is present. Data shows 16-24Gps per card 4-6 per NPU. I am interested in real world performance with IMIX. The new SPC3 cards look promising - 40Gbps per slot IMIX juniper marketing data, I dont think these cards are released yet for the MX series. Also, is anyone familiar with service sets for IPSEC on the MS-MPC cards, how is physical interface failures of the inside and outside interfaces handled? thanks in advance, Mike _______________________________________________ juniper-nsp mailing list [email protected] https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/juniper-nsp
