Hi Brian, Thanks, good to know. You have managed to find a good translator to write the Finnish texts. The name of the language could be simply "Suomi" instead of "Suomen kieli" (Finnish language).

I had a moment where some files did not display, but I changed the default character encoding, as linux does, to UTF-8, and now it displays correctly. (we support french, hungarian and other scripts, too) No importance here at the JPP-devel list perhaps, but I did this only yesterday, so I thought to mention it. cheers from Berkeley, California --Brian M Hamlin / OSGeoLive PSC / MAPLABS On 11/9/21 12:57 PM, Rahkonen Jukka (MML) wrote: > Hi Ede, > > I start to think that I am on a safe side with the Finnish language files. > All the special characters in the file are Unicode escaped like the > translation "Päätä piirtäminen" in string > com.vividsolutions.jump.workbench.ui.cursortool.MultiClickTool.finish-drawing=P\u00e4\u00e4t\u00e4 > piirt\u00e4minen > > If I understand right all the characters in the file are the just the same as > ISO-8859-1 and UTF-8.
