Hi, The measurement tool inserts measurements into a special layer and if that layer is made selectable and editable it is possible to edit the geometries and all the areas, lengths, and segment lengths are updated in real time. It seems even to be possible to digitize a hole into a measurement polygon and perimeter grows while the area is degreasing.
I wonder if this tool could be re-used for showing info about existing lines and polygons which are on normal layers. Usage could be like Select features - Right click - Show distances and areas.
