Two reasons: - Ctrl-A-Del does not do the same thing. - The tool used to be in the right click menu for several years and myself I am used to find it there. I could learn easily to use Ctrl-A-Del but it does not do the same thing. "Delete all features" works only for the selected layers. Try yourself: - Select a feature from layer A - Switch to layer B - Ctrl-A-Del => selected feature from layer A is also deleted. Why I use Delete all features is to make sure that my selection/mask layer is empty when I start to digitize new features to be used in spatial operations. I tend to use always the same mask layer because function menus usually remember what layer was used last and without clearing the layer it may happen that there are old features left somewhere outside the current map window. There is also a reason to select features from the source layer because I may want to apply the geometric function only to selected features. Further on, the selection is perhaps done with another function. > it's easy to put it in again via default-pugins, although i'd vote against it. I vote for getting it back because the complete name for this tool is "Delete all features from selected layer", it is a good tool to have, but now we miss it totally because there is no path in the menus to access it. If menu feels overcrowded, how about removing the move layer up/down/to other category? For me it feels natural and faster to just drag the layers in TOC with a mouse. -Jukka Rahkonen- > > ..ede > > > On 12.02.2014 21:40, Michael Michaud wrote: > > Hi, > > > > Can't remember this feature. > > Is using keyboard an otion ?
