good to hear that you found a solution.
I think it maybe worthwhile to add common-imaging for handling TIF if it 
allows us to get rid of JAI - maybe for the next but one OJ version.

No problems, I have time to wait until you are able to commit :)
I actually create first the main folders (.../pluginname/trunk/) on our 
svn using the "svn repository exploring" view, and then added my stuff 
to that folder via "team>share project>"
