Hi all,
I gave a look to changelog and I can see that Michael and Ede did a very
strong job to increase Oj capabilities. I don't want to forget Matthias and
others who give their valid contributions. Thanks to all, really.
I can see that Ede worked around to make statusbar resizeble and
"tooltipped". That's great and I realize that this part of OJ workbench can
be used more, for instance adding buttons (to access other plugins).
I want only to show developers a couple of common and practical usages:
a) <memory usage> part, add an access to "Free memory" option (actually
accessible on help menu)
b) <scale bar> add an access to "Zoom to scale" plugin

I will add these thoughts to wish list

-----------------------------------------------------

Today I tried Concave Hull plugin by Eric Grosso (
http://www.rotefabrik.free.fr/concave_hull/) on lates OJ NB. It is not
lauched anymore, due probabily to recent modifications on Initialize
methods of plugins.
There must be probably other (old) plugins which will not work anymore with
OpenJUMP 1.6. Developers of external plugins should be aware of this and
make the relative modifications (I did it on my very small developing
activities)

thanks again

Peppe
