language property files need to be encoded in iso-8859-1 (latin-1). if some characters do not exist in this range of characters they have to be encoded like this '\u00e4' which is called unicode literal, which is a way to save unicode characters using ascii characters. i suggest: 1. translate your strings 2. convert as described on the wikipage Translation_of_non_latin_languages_like_Chinese.2C_Vietnamese.2C_Japanese_etc. or use http://www.htmlescape.net/javaescape_tool.html 3. save the file as plain text in your office suite or use jedit and save with encoding iso-8859-1 ..ede ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For Developers, A Lot Can Happen In A Second.
