OpenJUMPers: I finally got around to packaging a version of the OpenJUMP GPX Reader Plug-In that SHOULD run with Java 1.5. The plug-in was compiled for Java 1.5 and was tested on an OpenJUMP installation running Java 6.
Here is the download link for Version 1.23: https://sourceforge.net/projects/surveyos/files/SurveyOS%20OpenJUMP%20Plug-Ins/GPX/ There is a source zip and a zip that contains the plug-in JAR and the library JARs. I need to whip up a tutorial video and some installation instructions. In the meantime, those of you that had trouble with the previous version of the plug-in, but know how to install it, can try the plug-in again. I also fixed a bug in this release that threw an exception and crashed the plug-in if the waypoints in your GPX file didn't have a date and time associated with it. That is now ignored, so the plug-in is a little more robust. Please note: After loading GPX files with the plug-in, the first time I go to pan or zoom the viewport I get an "Unable to stroke shape" error from Java. This seems to be a Java2D exception. You can just excuse the exception and continue working in OpenJUMP. This only happens the first time you try to pan or zoom after the file is loaded. I don't think this is a problem with my plug-in, but is caused by something else. I need to do more testing and will provide details about the error on the devel mailing list. But don't be surprised if you try the plug-in and get the error. Try out the plug-in and let me know if it works for you. Thanks.
