Hi Jukka,
This one is supported by OJ but it is hard to discover how. One can save the image layer as JUMP GML format which will create a XML file which contains link(s) to the image(s). Pretty nice feature because image layer can contain a list of images. This is worth making a good documentation into some visible place. http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2786341&group_id=118054&atid=679909 <http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2786341&group_id=118054&atid=679909>
If you want to contribute to the wiki, I think the good place for this is in the user manual or in the FAQ
https://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/jump-pilot/index.php?title=Documentation

There is also a Tip section (but I'm not sure it is good to have a FAQ and a tip section)
