now a late answer, but as I will be of the grid the next 2 weeks (Chile 
& Bolivia for short vacations) it is time for it:

I though it would be a good place to announce news maybe but even a 
better place for tips and tricks = online documentation/tutorials. I.e. 
not for replacing the webpage - except - we can get a menu as now on the 
left side of the blog page (and not as it s right now - just plane entries)

though - I see your concerns in spreading & maintaining things?

Actually, I need to check what the SourceForge stats can tell us more 
about the downloads, aside from amounts and countries
