Hi Stefan,

I first read Jukka's comment on the matter. He was right. As weird
(for me! :) ) as it were my geom_columns table wasn't up to date ..
(blush)

I can confirm that, given an updated geom_columns table, the procedure
works as expected. :)

Now...
What about *saving* the layer back to PostGIS?

Without the (very stable) PostGIS plugin this doesn't make sense
(unless you open the data layer to later save in another format) ...

This, IMHO, is a long-standing lack in OJ - i.e. Add *and* save a
datastore layer...
And while I'm at it ... :P why not change 'instance' to 'database' in
the connection parameters window? ('instance' is more
programmers-oriented lingo... ;) )
