Hei, i) Stats:
I thought these numbers may be of interest: downloads Version 1.2(F): - windows-installer (06.April'08 -19.April'09): 12500 downloads - platform-independent-installer (06.April'08 -11.April'09): 7760 downloads user lists (I rounded downwards): - JUMP users: ? - OpenJUMP users: ca. 80 - JUMP Pilot Devel: ca. 90 Now the question is: How many users do we have? Someone said, take the user list subscription and multiply it (with 5?). Another option is to divide the downloads (maybe by 10?). gives 500 vs. 2000 ;) ii) My further goals: Now that the release of OJ 1.3 is done I have the following points on (my) agenda: - work through Ravis mineral prognostication tutorial (and put it online after I gave him feedback - if somebody wants to look into it too - tell me) - work on Peppes OJ documentation - preparation of a tutorial for OGRS 2009 - if those things are done: start with the OSGeo application process Two other things I plan to look into. I meet yesterday somebody who may help us to set up a proper webpage and check our 'marketing'. Furthermore I also discovered the second user that uses OpenJUMP 1.0 from the Debian distribution. Can anybody look into this issue - i.e. contact the Debian guys or other release people that have put OJ in a Linux distribution - and tell them that there are newer versions? ... or even work with them on compatibility for gnu-java vm? (because OJ 1.3 didn't run with it) cheers, Stefan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Stay on top of everything new and different, both inside and around Java (TM) technology - register by April 22, and save $200 on the JavaOne (SM) conference, June 2-5, 2009, San Francisco. 300 plus technical and hands-on sessions.
