I'm in the process of trying to secure some funding for the maintenance and development of OpenJUMP at my small company. I would like to request "reference letters" from any governement agencies or small businesses that are currently using OpenJUMP. This wouldn't have to be anything fancy. Just a short letter that explains how you are using OpenJUMP, your honest evaulation of its strengths and weaknesses, and a recommendation for its use by other organizations.
Would anyone be willing to prepare this type of letter for me? I believe that OpenJUMP would really benefit from some short-term and long-term funding that I may be able to secure from my company. This won't be a huge dollar amount, but might be a significant investment up front, and could be an annual investment comparable to what we would have to spend on an ArcGIS license every year. Thanks for any help and support with this effort. The Sunburned Surveyor P.S. - If the funding comes through I would love to consider teaming with other businesses using OpenJUMP to fund this type of development.
