I'd like to try out my refactoring of the core in a more incremental way. (See the latest post on http://openjump.blogspot.com/ for more details.) I believe the easiest way to do this would be with a branch of the SVN. I don't want to make changes to our trunk, but if I use a copy of the trunk on my own SVN, I loose the ability to easily pick-up all of the other improvements the other programmers will be making.
I'm not an expert with SVN, so there may be a danger of creating an experimental branch for me. But if there isn't such a danger, I would like to ask the other programmers if I could do this.
