Ok.. I have read the emails now, and here my 2 cents:

1 - bugs:
. we try to get some bux fixed towards the new year
. about the ranking.. i can try to have a go on it in the next week(s).
But I am also not sure if it makes sense, as certain bug need a skill
level (or time budget) that nobody of us has.
. not sure about the MacOSX stuff, introducing again a new startup file
for OSX is one option. I have to see the other bug. However, it is
stupid that Apple needs to do things different

2 - new functionality:
. we could do a feature freeze, but
. a) I would like to see Michaels aggregation function in OJ (however,
we need to see what is different from the one I did - i.e. how to
distinguish between)
. b) Peppe was voting to include Larry's text-block annotation tool [and
I agree with him, although I haven't tested it yet]
. c) not sure if we should finally integrate the geometry conversion
plugins by Edgar

3 - if it takes till January we may wait for JTS 1.10

4 - Version will be 1.3 (do we need release candidates?)

5 - About Pirol image support
yep it was planned to integrate their image plugin. But one problem was
that one needs JAI. The current implementations does not need it (as far
as I remember???). What we can not do, is to include the complete
base-package due to the maintenance issues. But, some of the
base-classes are already in OpenJUMP (the ones needed for the Attribute
Calculator). I used here a different domain to avoid package loading
problems.

6 - Finally a question to Jukka: What do you mean by updating PostGIS
and Oracle Plugin? I know about Uwe's PostGIS plugin needs be repacked
for OJ 1.2/1.3 .. unfortunately I had trouble doing that with Ant (in
April?) and since that never had a go on it again.

any comments? suggestions?

stefan
