Hi,
Since OpenJump now uses the same mechanism for plugins as SkyJUMP, I
realized that it is now possible to use features from the new ISA plugin
directly in OJ via the workbench-properties.xml file. Of course, they won't
be internationalized, and I will still port some of them to OJ as I find the
time, but if you need one now...
I have tested a few of the SkyJUMP tools with the current OpenJump nightly
build.
The SkyJUMP functions are packaged in a plugin in jar at:
http://www.ashsiii.com/downloads/openjump/isa-2.5.jar
Just place it in your OpenJump/lib/ext folder.
The workbench-properties file that enables the individual tools that I
tested briefly is at:
http://www.ashsiii.com/downloads/openjump/workbench-properties.xml
Just place it in your OpenJump/bin folder.
For instance: The toolbox "Text Block Annotation" tool will drag out a text
rectangle and allow standard in-place text editing. The text is
automatically sized to fit the width and placed on an Annotation layer.
This layer can be Styled like normal layers and the geometry of the text box
can be edited into various shapes like call-outs and rotated.
I have also tested Clip To Fence, Orthogonalize, Auto Assign Attribute, the
interactive Buffer Tool, and the KML datasource. Additional tools not
included may also work in OJ, but probably won't be popular (like Find Arc
Center or Join With Multi-Arcs).
regards,
Larry Becker
