I agree that this is a good idea. I think we should be careful about automatically projecting data on import to a task. I know that AutoCAD Map does this. It has caused us some problems before. If we enable this, I think we should at least make it an option to turn this behavior "off". I will be adding the ability to associate a unit system with a Task. I can easily add the ability to associate a spatial reference system at the same time.
