You guys want to help me take a stab at these questions? I can tackle
4, and maybe even 5, but I'll need some help with the others.

I started a temporary page on the wiki where we can input the information:

Subject: Open JUMP project information

Hello,

This is Miguel Montesinos and Jorge Sanz, from the Spanish company
Prodevelop, who are members of the gvSIG team. We are going to make a
presentation at the next "Jornadas de SIG Libres"[1] (sg. like the
Spanish FOSS4G) in Spain.

We are going to remake last year's presentation [2] about "Current
panorama of the FOSS for GIS ecosystem", where we'll present the main
FOSS4G projects, their features, relationships among open-source
community, ...

In order to provide more accurate information, we are writing to the
leaders/PSC of the main projects to ask for some data, which is not
easy to find out.

We'd be glad if you could answer these questions, hope it won't take
you more than a couple of minutes.

If you think there is another person more appropriated to answer that
questions, please resend that message to him.

The result of this study will be published in the event website, and
we intend to make it available also in English. We'll send you a copy
of this report when available in English.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Questions
---------

1) How many users are subscribed to all the mailing lists of the project?

2) How many active users are contributing to the project (developers,
testers, documentators, managers, ...) apart from end-users?

3) Do your project share developers with other FOSS4G projects?

4) Do you have good relationships with other FOSS4G projects? Which ones?

5) What are the main libraries/projects your project depends on?

6) Which are the main features that have been added to the project
during last year?

Thank you very much, and best regards!
