I ran into a bug with image support using JUMP 1.2 on Linux with my Dad last night. I'm not sure if this is a JUMP 1.2 bug, or if I would have the same problem with OpenJUMP on Linux. I will try to confirm this week.
The bug relates to rendering or painting with images and vector layers in the same task window. Whenever I place a vector layer above an image layer in JUMP 1.2 on Linux the background beneath the layer is painted an opaque black. The image layer does not show up underneath. When the vector layer is placed below the image layer, the display is normal. I checked the latest nightly build of OpenJUMP this morning, and it does not have this problem on the Windows Operating system. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I will post again when I have determined if the problem is with either JUMP or OpenJUMP on Linux, or if it is just a problem with JUMP.
