I've noticed a few nifty little utility classes kicking around in
OpenJUMP's source code. I think that most of them were written by the
Pirol folks, specifically Ole Rahn.

I can't remember exactly, but I seem to recall that Pirol might not be
actively involved in OpenJUMP development any longer. If this is the
case, I was wondering if these utility classes are up for "adoption".

For example, I want to write some utility methods for working with
selections. I've put these into my own class for now, but they seem
like they would fit nicely in the SelectionTools class made by Pirol
programmers. Is there still a Pirol developer I can ask about
additions, improvements, or changes to these utility classes?

If we don't have anyone from Pirol that still cares or wants to be
involved I would like to "adopt" some of these utility classes. In
this scenario I will be responsible for cleaning up the Javadoc
comments, of which there don't seem to be a lot, and making other
little fixes and improvements.

Any thoughts?
