Hi, the functions in Tools>Queries>Spatial Query and Tools>Analysis>Geometry functions... have a Source- and a Mask-Layer. (Source and Mask).
If I am right the Result of the queries are out of the Source-Layer. For example: The Source-Layer contains plot of lands (polygons) and the Mask-Layer contains buildings (also polygons) inside the geometry of the plot of lands. Now I am searching all plot of lands with buildings on it. With Tools>Queries>Spatial Query and the relation "contains" I receive all plot of lands with buildings. The Result-Layer is Part of the Source-Layer (First layer). Geometry functions... works similar. Is it right, that Tools>Analysis>Spatial Join of Geometries works in the other way? Part of the Result is the second layer (Layer B)? If I use this function the first layer (Layer A) must contain the buildings and Layer B must contain the plot of lands for a correct result with the function "contains". Do I use this function in a correct way? Regards, Uwe ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
