It's a matter of nomenclature ... the MrSID utilities for linux were
just renamed...

Now shoot me if I'm being way to simplistic (for not knowing the
pertinent code) but wouldn't it be just a matter of refactoring the
code to call those files?
Their output is exactly the same as the former...

Better yet... java has methods to determine the platform being used...
so it's just a matter of calling the right apps for the current
platform...
Yet another method:
either in the .bat file or in the .sh script set two environment
variables pointing to the pertinent apps... $MRSIDINFO $MRSIDDECODE
The core code would then profit from the set env vars...

Just raving a bit... :] but I feel that these are reasonable methods
for tacking with the matter at hand... ;-)
