Hi Sunburned,

It's great idea but I'm quite lost. What a difference from the others web
site ?

http://www.openjump.org
http://jump-pilot.sourceforge.net/index.html
http://surveyos.sourceforge.net/
http://openjump.blogspot.com/

Isn't it possible to merge all forces on the same web page ?

Concerning, SIGLE team and my laboratory, as I said in my last mail, we are
happy to participate and collaborate. We need specific functionalities and
improvements on openjump.

We created a google doc to present the job and the future tasks. This doc is
open. :-)

All people are welcome to criticize it.

Cheers

R1.

I was able to do a little work on coordinating our coolaborative
development efforts. I've added a section to the JPP Wiki that I hope will
help us to track the changes between the different JUMP brands. This should
help developers navigate the different code repositories. You can find the
page for collaborative development here:

http://thejumppilotproject.pbwiki.com/Collaborative%20Development

There you will find a link to a page for each JUMP "brand". On this page I
have placed the "skeleton" for information I hope we can put together as a
community. If possible, I'd like participating developer teams to send me a
copy of the Java Package Maps for their brand. (They can start with the Java
Package Map for JUMP or OpenJUMP if it is easier.) When I get the package
map I'll get it posted on the wiki.

I'd also like to ask participating teams to send me a brief note when they
add or modify a class or interface to their code base. I'll make a quick
note of this change on the appropriate wiki page.

I've also got a section on each page for a list of changes and
improvements that each team would like to see integrated into OpenJUMP,
either as a plug-in or as a modification/addition to the core. Perhaps each
team could start by adding two or three changes to their list. Then we can
work together on reviewing and integrating these changes.

This is only an initial effort to encourage better communication and
coordination between our different developer teams. If someone has ideas on
how to modify this so things work better or are easier for the development
teams.

I look forward to hearing eveeryone's comments, and I hope this will be a
first step in the right direction.
