Dear Sunburned When I first stated working with openJump I used launched the exe file - this was OK, but I could not get the supplied Bat file running - main class not found. After some changes I did get it working (see below) by removing references to the VERSION and PATH environment variables and including the specific values into the Bat file- don't ask me to explain why.
