I'd also like to thank Uwe and Stefan: We are using the german version of the OpenJump and PostGIS tutorial for quite a while, now, and we are very happy with them! (Thanks for the translation, Stefan!)
In PIROL we have a template for PlugIn documentations (I have to admit, it didn't lead to a full documentation coverage and what we have is german only, though). I think, our form is a bit outdated and quite focussed on PIROL stuff, but there is one thing in it which I think would be good to have in a general form (maybe it's not a new idea, but ...): There are "checkboxes" (- a textual version of checkboxes) in it for standard things to tell the user, like "does the plugin need features to be selected?", "does it need layers to be selected", "is a fence needed?", "will a fence have any effect (even if it is not required)?", ... The good thing about such checkboxes (or standardized inputs like "how many features have to be selected") is that it speeds up writing a documentation ("yes, no, no, 3" - half way through) and the user can - once he got used to the template's layout - very quickly see, what is at least required to use a plugIn.
