It would be wonderful to see someone tackle some of the outstanding issues in Gadfly that revolving around aesthetic (I use the term in the colloquial sense here) functionality. For example, things like implementing dashed and dotted lines, accessible extension to Geom.point to get different markers, figuring out colors for Geom.contours, finer control over ordering of layers, something for getting latex on the various backends. OK, so perhaps this is just a bunch of aesthetic related issues piled together, but I imagine that someone with a vision could find a way to sell such an effort as a package?
