# Juju 2.2-beta4 Release Notes We are delighted to announce the release of Juju and conjure-up 2.2-beta4! In this release, Juju greatly improves memory and storage consumption, works on KVM containers, and improves network modelling. conjure-up now supports Juju as a Service (JAAS), provides a MacOS client, and adds support for repeatable spell deployments.
The best way to get your hands on this release of Juju and conjure-up is to install them via snap packages (see https://snapcraft.io/ for more info on snaps). snap install juju --classic --beta snap install conjure-up --classic --beta Other packages are available for a variety of platforms. Please see the online documentation at https://jujucharms.com/docs/devel/reference-releases#development ## New and Improved ------------------------------ * SSH Keys of the bootstrap host are now verified before bootstrap, eliminating the opportunity for a MITM attack (lp:1579593). * Actions on a unit can now be canceled (lp:1588092) * OpenStack provider usability improvements: * added support for neutron networks where port security is disabled (lp:1680787). * error handling when an instance fails to boot with “No valid host” failure. * experimental Oracle Compute provider See https://jujucharms.com/docs/devel/help-oracle Usability improvements: * instance ids in Juju status are now user friendly. Known limitations for this beta: * destroy-controller might show an error if instance deletion takes too long. * yakkety bootstrap / workloads not supported. * Juju’s agent presence data is now aggressively pruned, reducing controller disk space usage and avoiding some performance issues. * conjure-up now supports vsphere. ## Fixes ------------------------------ * Resolved json unmarshal errors while bootstrapping with the OpenStack Provider (lp:1683495). * MAAS 2.x block storage now works with physical disks, when MAAS reports the WWN unique identifier. Previously, the storage would remain pending (lp:1677001). * Resolved issues with long bridge names (lp:1672327) * For more Juju and conjure-up goodness, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/juju/+milestone/2.2-beta4 https://github.com/conjure-up/conjure-up/milestone/19?closed=1 ## Feedback Appreciated!
