Hi Alan,
Your requirement is a instance of a traditional
client-server communication in web eenvironment, that
is HTTP.
Infact there is no need to go for sockets as the data
being exchanged is HTML and not raw data.
Applets can readiliy communicate with servlets and
this approach should be straighforward.
Servlets are by default multithreaded and thus
multiple client interaction is not a problem.
