[jQuery] applying jquery to my input submit buttons

Hi

Hoping someone can help me.

I have a class for my submit buttons.

.submit {
        font-size:11px;
        font-weight:bold;
        color:#fff;
        border:1px solid #878787;
        background-color:#878787;
        cursor:pointer;
}
.submitHover {
        font-size:11px;
        font-weight:bold;
        color:#fff;
        cursor:pointer;
        border:1px solid #878787;
        background-color:#b9b7b7;
        cursor:pointer; }


I also have in my markup the mouseover event
<input name="submit" type="submit" value="{LANG_SUBMIT_REVIEW}"
class="submit" style="margin-top:6px;"
onmouseover="this.className='submitHover'"
onmouseout="this.className='submit'" />

Can i simply this and take out the mouseover event in my markup by
having it in the jquery?

If so how would i go about doing this in my jquery file?
