is up to you how you would like to make your json format, but you can easily loop between your table's row, and td then add the format you like. something like: var $table = $('#tableid'); $('tr', $table).each(function(i, item){ // here you can add whatever you like for each TR, then you can browse td for each tr $('td',$(this)).each(function(i,item){ // now you have all td as well }); });
