It's pretty hard to tell without some html code of your boxes and JS.
I would consider putting something with 1x1 transparent pixel as an
background there instead of text.
Or changing css to get the same space in some other way (So maybe it
will trigger. It might be some problem with a way that you make that
space, but it's very strange that it works for other boxes. Are there
no differences in their html and css?).
