Thanks for the prompt reply MorningZ, Apologies for the inaccurate description, the apparent leak is only in IE6 I took your advice, created a simple table 10*200, based on the one on the plugin page. The only scripts on the page are:
jquery-1.3.1.js, jquery.tablesorter.js, and the constructor: $(document).ready(function() { $("#myTable").tablesorter( {sortList: [[0,0], [1,0]]} ); } ); On each refresh in IE6 the memory rises by 1,200k If I reduce the table size to only one row, the memory still rises by 700k on each refresh. the page html looks like this: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1250"> <title></title> <script type="text/javascript" src="./support/scripts/ jquery-1.3.1.js"> </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="./support/scripts/ jquery.tablesorter.js"> </script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $("#myTable").tablesorter( {sortList: [[0,0], [1,0]]} ); } ); </script> </head> <body> <table id="myTable"> <thead> <tr> <th> Last Name </th> <th> First Name </th> <th> Email </th> <th> Due </th> <th> Web Site </th> <th> Last Name </th> <th> First Name </th> <th> Email </th> <th> Due </th> <th> Web Site </th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr> <td> Smith </td> <td> John </td> <td> jsm...@gmail.com </td> <td> $50.00 </td> <td> http://www.jsmith.com </td> <td> Smith </td> <td> John </td> <td> jsm...@gmail.com </td> <td> $50.00 </td> <td> http://www.jsmith.com </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </body> </html> I have tried using jquery's unbind on th elements to deallocate it, also setting the $("#myTable").html('') to remove the dom elements, but nothing seems to work. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!! thanks.
