There is a problem with loading prototype and jquery on the same page. One trick that you can do is bulk replace in interface.js the '$' with 'jQuery'. Update all your scripts that use jQuery to replace the '$'.
Also, remember that on your pages to use 'jquery' rather than '$' when referencing the jquery components/functions. This is b/c you have both prototype and jquery invoked on the same page.
