[jQuery] How to combine after, slideDown and fadeIn

Can anyone help me combine two jquery functions: after and slideDown.

My code looks like this but it doesn't work :(

                                        var data = "New text";
                                        $('#newvrisk').after(data, function(){
                                                 $(this).slideDown('fast', 
function(){
                                                         $(this).fadeIn('slow');
                                                });
                                        });
