not sure how/why this question keeps coming up, but the answer is no. there was a post on this group claiming that jQueryUI was "calling home" to jqueryui.com, when in fact that author was simply linking to the script on the jqueryui.com domain, but i digress...
the jQuery library does not initiate any requests. i'd recommend firebug's "net" panel if you want to keep tabs on the requests being made by your pages.
