Perhaps after 6 weeks it's time to move to a different solution?
(ditch the <table> and use floating <div>'s or the like)

the tablesorter plugin hasn't been working on in a long time by the
person who wrote it, the chances of you getting your answer of "why
did it break?" is super slim to none
