finding out that my message was finally posted twice.
Here is some additional info.
Behavior has changed since last post and I can't figure out why as
the code itself has not changed.
Here is the log :

The file queue could not be emptied since no files have been added.

The «file queue could not be emptied since no files have been added
message» shows up
than upload starts (the backed script gets called normally) but the
plugin waits for the server to respond.
In Firefox 3, the browser than crashes in Safari 3 the browser sits
waiting.
