Here's one way to modify the markup and get the text within the gradient
area:
<div id="box1" style="height:200px; width:200px;">
<div style="position:absolute; padding:10px;
font-family:'trebuchet ms'; font-size:12px; color:white;">
This is the text in my gradient box!
</div>
</div>
This will certainly save a lot of time creating background images!
