I believe this would require a 2nd download of the image so that it is within the applet. I am trying to get the actual image data into the applet through javascript to applet communication or having the applet access the DOM directly.
Since the image data is downloaded as the HTML is being parsed by the browser...I am not sure if I can get at the image data. I can push an image from applet to javascript and then into a hidden input field...but getting the image in the first place seems a bit challenging.
