The logo you're linking to was created by Joel Birch who was very generous in creating an awesome jQuery image.
As for the new logo, you can use it in presentations and the like but we don't allow the jQuery logo to be used for merchandising (i.e.: t-shirts, mugs) and other commercial items without our express written approval.
