Hi, and welcome to jQuery.

I'm a relative newcomer myself, but I can tell you that what you'll
hear a lot of times is "show us your code".

And I think this is a good occasion for that.

Can you post your code and, especially, can you provide a link
to a demo site where you attempts can be viewed?

Assistance will be much quicker that way.
It could be a lot of things, and usually, those that are more experienced
can spot common problems quickly.
