I think it's because of IE's realisation of tables. he simply can't apply filters for <tr>. seems like you sould find some workaround instead of using tr. something like: <div><table><tr><th>1</th><td>text1</td></tr></table></div> <div><table><tr><th>2</th><td>text2</td></tr></table></div>
