Hey all, I've just built a plugin a that allows you to use jQuery as a replacement for Prototype/script.aculo.us in Rails. It also includes some of the visual effects that were missing since 1.2 came out and broke compatibility with interface. I still have work to do on the visual effects piece but it's a pretty solid release.
