Really, more than the pop-up messages, I was curious about use of the messages tab at the bottom. When
would someone want to have a running list of messages? It's less obtrusive than the usual native browser alert popup. And, having a log of messages could be useful in some implementations I suppose. There's another plugin that's kind of unheralded that I stumbled over called "Impromptu" that is similar in what it does. Basically a configurable replacement for the native browser alert.
