I just saw your response to my post in your jqUploader site. I haven't tested it yet. If it works you should update the version. Having it work in IE7 is a big deal indeed.
Also what's the UI (User Interface)? the jQuery library? Does the library's uploader due on 3 Sep. have a progress bar? It should be just like your script but cross-browser. To me cross-browser is essentially IE7+FF. Couldn't care less about Opera and Safari, just as 98% of users. As I understand the jqUploader relies on a separate flash script. The problem is not in fact with the uploader which works fine (I can't open the .fla provided in the site, though-- cause a Windows 'report error' to appear) but with the embedding of the swf. I figured out that it could have to do with different ways the browsers embed swf one using the embed tag and the other using object tag. This is to obvious but the problem is that the swf doesn't get embedded (doesn't appear at all). As I posted in your jqUploader site forum your plugin is perfect (and we have to thank you or better paypal you for it) or rather it would be perfect if it worked with IE; otherwise it is virtually useless. I love FF and as an amateur programmer myself often check for compatibility at the end of a session. Unfortunately, javascript and HTML are too sensitive regarding IE compatibility and we should FIRST check for compatibility with the browser with from 60-90% of market share depending on region. Thanks.
