Ideas: 1. a tree with folders http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-treeview/, 2. a scrollable area http://www.learningjquery.com/2006/10/scroll-up-headline-reader (broken, but the fix is mentioned in the article) 3. Google Suggest - http://jquery.bassistance.de/autocomplete/
I think maybe a combination of the three would work too. The first is the hardest because blogrolls often do not have categorization. However, scrolling the window slowly would allow a much smaller space, and the google suggest would give an easy way to type in the one you want. Maybe even set up a Feed viewer of your blogroll? Like this http://www.yui-ext.com/deploy/yui-ext/examples/layout/feed-viewer.html That way you would be giving the user an easy way to "browse" your blogroll. Not just see the names. Hope this helps.
