Hey Benjamin, I've had the same problem in the past. What I do now is create a post discussing the plugin, and then I create a one-off page that has all the information regarding the version of jQuery, the version of the plugin, bugs, supported browsers, etc. The post then links to that page.
It is not the most elegant solution, but I have seen others do this as well.
