[jQuery] news ticker not displaying inline with H2 tag

I'm trying to get the texotela news ticker (

) to display inline with an h2 tag.  I have my h2 tag set to
display:inline but the ticker still drops down.  Anyone have any ideas
on how to fix this?  Here's my current file:
