GianCarlo, That kicks ass. If ThickBox could do that to transition between a series of pics, it would WOW alot of people.
I have to respond to Rob though, who only advocates show() and hide(). If that were the case, I doubt I would have ever picked up jQuery in the first place. I hardly ever use Ajax and would be perfectly fine if that was a plugin. However, I know other people who use Ajax all the time. You have to consider that there are -diverse- communities using jQuery that have vastly different needs. The question of what should be in the core is complex. These are the criteria to me personally: 1. That is helps get people hooked and adopt jQuery for the first time. 2. That it's not too big making jQuery "fat" 3. That there is no dueling swords for the feature. 4. That is enables other plugins and general UX capabilities #3 means that there isn't 5 plugins that all do similar things in different ways (like image galleries, tabs, tooltip, etc) For me, things like hoverIntent() - (I forgot HoverIntent!!), dimensions and easing() are all lightweight (as opposed to the large interface plugin and really hook people who are not in the ajax side of things. They enable other plugins and definitely improve user experience. I know this subject is completely impossible to make a decision that pleases everybody. On any other list, a subject like this would turn into chaos. :) Updated xmas list: 1. Easing 2. Dimensions 3. HoverIntent 4. Added K to improve speed. Sometimes asking for gifts is better than receiving them. :) Glen On 6/21/07, GianCarlo Mingati <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Done! http://www.gcmingati.net/wordpress/wp-content/lab/jquery/imagestrip/imageslide-plugin.html Added the possibility to customize animation kind and duration. Will rewrite it in english and will add documentation. Anyhow, it's pretty simple. Easing rocks and jQ too!! Ciao!
